This 2 bedroom four seasons cottage is located along the shores of Georgian Bay within the Town of Meaford, Ontario, approximately 26 km. east of Owen Sound, and 33 km. west of the Blue Mountain area. To view an Ontario map showing the area between Toronto and Meaford, follow our MAP link below.


Description: Clean, cozy, four seasons 2-bedroom family cottage, 1,000 sq feet, sleeps 4 + 2, with one 4-pc bath, large dining room, spacious kitchen, family room with gas fireplace, large yard backing onto and with direct access to Georgian Bay (excellent for rest and play), with breathtaking views of the sunrise. Don't forget the marshmallows for roasting at the open fire pit while enjoying the night skies and unobstructed star gazing. While swimming from the backyard is permissable, due to the lower water levels (as being experienced in all the great lakes) the sandbar has moved away from the shore causing the lake bottom along our shoreline to be a little more rocky until you reach the sandbar. It is also quite shallow until you walk out a fair distance. I recommend river shoes or if you prefer, a short 10 minute walk to the (sandy) public beach.

Local Activities: Several golf courses, excellent trout and salmon fishing and some of the best ski facilities in Ontario are conveniently nearby. The Georgian trail, which is great for hiking, biking and cross country skiing is easily accessible. Bring your rackets to take advantage of the town's tennis court, located just a short walk away as is the skateboard park, and public swimming pool. Take a stroll east to play mini-golf at Memorial Park campground or take a refreshing dip at their sandy beach. For those boat enthusiasts, boat launch/docking facilities are available at the harbour, as are fishing charters. If you enjoy theater, check out the summer's selection of plays showcased during the Georgian Theater Festival. Town shops, groceries, restaurants (eat-in and take-out), video rental store, hospital, churches, pharmacies, laundromat, post office, library are all in Meaford.
