Xena Couldabeen
Here are a few pictures of Vanessa Angel, the lass originally cast to play Xena before filming began!
Apparently, The PowersThat Be had decided to cast Vanessa here as Xena, but since she was sick and couldn't make it to New Zealand to start on the show, they hunted down Lucy and cast her in the role of Xena instead!
Of course Lucy should have been the first and only choice, as she IS Xena, no other will do!
And looking at Vanessa, even though she is quite, uh... not hard on the eyes, shall we say, she couldn't be Xena, in my opinion. And heck, who ever saw Xena drink a bottled beer?!? Hehe!
