Wednesday Programs include workshops and fieldtrips. Unless otherwise stated, there is no regular drop-in on Wednesday mornings.

Workshops

The South Riverdale Child-Parent Centre offers a variety of workshops to give parents and caregivers the opportunity to discuss common concerns and learn more about parenting and child development while staff care for children in the playroom. Workshops are led by experienced facilitators and include time for participant discussion and sharing.

Some of our past workshops include Cooking Together, Stress Reduction, Communication Within the Family, First Aid for Children, Night Time parenting and Promoting Early Literacy. Please see our newsletter to see what is coming up.

Mothers, fathers, grandparents, caregivers and those expecting a child are welcome. Childcare for up to 15 children is provided for workshops. Please sign-up on the purple door at the Centre.

Outings

Outings for families provide an opportunity for fun and friendship as well as a chance to discover interesting places to visit with young children.

Past field trips have include visits to local parks, the Riverdale farm, the Toronto Zoo and the apple orchard. Prior sign-up is required for outings with bus transportation.
