A Message from our Wardens.
As wardens of St. A's, we should like to encourage you to take a few moments and read over this website listing. Hopefully some of our programs will be able to meet some of your needs. If you have any special gifts that you would like to offer to our groups, give us a call and come on out! If you have any question please do not hesitate to call us at our Church office at (705)325-1861. We will be only too happy to return your call. Thank you.

Ladies Evening Fellowship This group has 15 active members who meet monthly in the church hall. We are the outreach committee for St. A's as we give physical, emotional and financial support to our church and the community. We hold a number of fundraisers each year such as suppers, rummage sales, our annual Christmas Holly Berry Tea and Spring Blossom Tea. We welcome and encourage new members.
"Coffee Talk" - Parents and Tots Group This group meets for two hours per week to provide peer support for parents and caregivers of pre-school children. We run on a drop-in basis between 10am and noon on Tuesdays in the church hall. A childcare worker engages the toddlers while the babies usually remain with their caregivers to play. The members provide snacks for adults and children. Usually there is a topic for discussion and occasionally there are guest speakers. There is no official sign up or fee, but donations towards the coffee fund are appreciated. Drop by for a coffee and a chat.
Youth Ministry We currently offer three youth groups for young people in our parish and community. The "New Found Fish" is a group for youth aged 13-18, "Karing Kids" is for children aged 10 -12, and a brand new group has begun for kids ages 6-9. These groups each participate in two meetings every month as well as in special fun events, fundraisers and community outreach programs. New members are always welcomed! For more information, call the office and leave a message for Melissa or Judy.
Check out the Youth Group's website at: http://groups.msn.com/youngandanglican Choir - Calling all voices!! To become a member of the choir, please join us in Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. for practice. Location rotates between St. A's and our sister church St. David's. A love of music is all that is required, but reading music is an asset. For more information, please call Cindy at 325-0313.
Chancel Guild The purpose of the chancel guild is to prepare the sanctuary for services. This includes frontal hangings, hymns on the boards, marking readings, placing flowers and polishing brass and silver. For communion services it involves preparation of the wine and hosts. Chancel members also decorate the church for special occasions like Harvest Thanksgiving and Christmas. If you are interested in joining please leave a message for Kathy Cooper at the church office.
