Li kunvenigis alian kursanon kiu ne estas Esperantisto, el Peruo, al kiu li jam parolis pri Esperanto. Tiu parolas angle kaj hispane. Silvio estis dirinta al li, ke li havas amikojn tra la tuta mondo. Por Esperantisto kiu estas afabla persono, kiel li estas, tio estas vera.

Okazis tre gaja, amika, babilado pri diversaj temoj, dum la Peruano auxskultis atente, kaj foje Silvio interpretis por li.

Fine, la Peruano diris al li Vi estis cxi tie antauxe, vi jam konas cxi tiujn homojn. Li ne povis kredi, ke Silvio neniam antauxe renkontis nin!.

Ni gxuis plian renkontigxon kun Silvio unu semajnon poste, antaux ol li devis reiri al Brazilo.

La 5an de marto Amanda Higley el Kalifornio cxeestis la kunvenon. Sxi estis survoje de Londono, Ontario, al Rocxestro, Novjorkio, kie sxi prelegis al universitataj studentoj pri kiel veturi malmultekoste en euxropo per uzo de Esperanto kaj la Pasporta Servo.

He brought another course member, from Peru, to whom he had already spoken about Esperanto. His friend speaks English and Spanish. Silvio had told him that he has friends all over the world. For an Esperantist who is a nice person, as he is, that is true.

We had a very lively, friendly discussion on diverse subjects, while the Peruvian listened attentively, and sometimes Silvio interpreted for him.

Finally the Peruvian said You were here before, you already know these people. He could not believe that Silvio had never met us before.

We enjoyed another meeting with Silvio one week later, before he had to go back to Brazil.

On 5th March, Amanda Higley, from California, attended the meeting in Timothys cafe. She was on the way from London, Ontario, to Rochester, N.Y., in both of which she gave a talk to students about how to travel cheaply in Europe by using Esperanto and the Passport Service.
