Okay... this is a personal hobby of mine, reading people. Through their demeanor, mannerisms, birthdays, any little tidbits I can get, I try to "paint" that person's portrait. Normally, I do not try to do this until I have actually spoken to the individual at least a little bit. However, seeing as how speaking with Elena is pretty impossible at this point, here I go! Elena Sokolova... she is obviously a very affectionate person. You can tell by the way she is smiling before, during and after her skates. While most skaters do do that, it is easy to tell some of them do it because they have to. With Elena, you do not get that. What you get is sincere happiness on her part. Elena is a person who likes things around her to run smoothly. If there is trouble, she is often the one who will try to calm things down and work it out.
It is not a surprise that she won so many hearts in Nagano. For any astrologists here, she is born on the 15th of Febuary, ruled by Venus and Uranus. People tend to be very attracted to her and at times so much so that they may seem to worship her. While Elena can display a very positive appearance, there is a danger. She is one who may be prone to turn her frustration inside. No one would know, but she may be making silent promises to herself. This can be both benificial or detremental as while it may provide her with extra inspiration, it may also be the beginning of a path to expontential self-pity and remorse. Elena, be careful and remember, we(that is just about the whole world) believes in ya!
I believe she has already overcome her greatest obstacle if she has made it this far in the skating world. She must have met failure somewhere along the line thus far. And though she may not have shown it, it is quite possible she was, to put it mildly, very disappointed by it. The fact that she seems to have learned to accept such small set backs and continue to perform, as shown in her moving up 3 places after the free skate, makes her a likely candidate for success.
A quiet person(one of her listed hobbies is reading, according to net sources), she is someone with a very active imagination. Born in the heart of winter, she chose a great area to express herself in. Skating is an active exercise and allows her display her charms (lucky us!). It is somewhat unique but not out of this world. I believe it fits her personality perfectly. She obviously loves to have fun and skating allows to do that. She is also very curious and traveling must be very enjoyable for her. Skating must have been a dream for her since she was very little. This is what she loves and wants to do. And it is this that will take her to the top. She is, as mentioned before, a very affectionate person. And the fact that she loves to give it, as well as receive it(her eyes tells ya how much she loves those gifts), along with her easy acceptance of others, only makes her that much more likable. In conclusion, I echo the thoughts of many of us. We love you, Elena!
For those of you who seem intent on marrying her or something, beware, she can be moody and possiblity oversensitive sometimes. Haha
Well, that's that. I know some parts seem controversial, others silly and still others not unexpected. However, this is nonetheless what I get when I look at her. I assure you that this is not the first time I have done this. I have done it many times before with obvious success but as I mentioned before, I have always spoken(or written) to the individual beforehand.
