I am looking for Clark's, Hoyt's, Brown's, Watt's and Woolever's in the Welland Co./Buffalo, N.Y. area. Eight children- Betsy, Bradford, David, Jane, Sarah, William, Robert & Nancy - of Daniel and Betsy Clark, all born in New Hampshire, are last noted there in 1812 with the birth of Nancy. Family history indicates Betsy marr: Timothy Hoyt and lived in Waterloo, Ontario in the 1860's. I have marriages for 3 of the children - Nancy & Hugh Watt, Apr. 3, 1829: Sarah & Tyler Beech Feb. 6, 1833; and William & Susan Woolever, Nov. 20, 1834 - as well as mentions of other names of bondsmen, so my guess is that the children all came to the Welland Co./Buffalo area from New Hampshire. My real interest is to find out what happened to the parents, Daniel & Betsy Clark, but would love any further info on any of the children. William & Bradford were millwrights and Robert learned the trade before he went to Michigan in 1835. The other children ended up in Illinois, Indiana, New York and Mississippi. My Gr. Grandmother is Lillie (Leille) Cook b. May 11th, 1856 Hamilton, Ont., marr: Walter H. Van Norman, by 1883 he had moved to Minneapolis, MN. and had a daughter. Lillie marr: 2nd Warren Howard Hayes Oct. 25, 1886 in Minneapolis. There seems to be agreement among secondary documents that the birth info. for my gr. grandmother is correct, but we have no proof. We think her father was named William Cook. On her death cert. her father is named as Cook (no first name) and her mother is listed as Mary McCrimon both born in Canada( and I have a Mary Cook lsited as a witness to her 2nd marriage in 1886 to my gr. grandfather in MN.) On a woman that is reportedly her sister I have a death cert. which does name William Cook as father and Mary McCruiri as mother both born in Canada.( My faourite theory on the difference in mother's last name is illegible handwriting misinterpreted by a clerk). The sister was born 1858-59 poss. Hamilton, Ont. Her name is Rosetta "Etta" Cook and she marr: Fred Blodgett 1890 in Minneapolis. This brief ahnrntafel chart for Walter H. Van Norman is somewhat speculative re: his parentage and needs corroboration. We know his name from his daughters death cert. We found a listing in a MPLS city dir. for 1883 for a Walter H. Van Norman who worked for a music (esp. organs) store. We assumed he died abt. 1883-86 when Leille remarried. 1. Mary Bell Van Norman b. Dec. 6, 1883, in Mpls., Hennepin, Mn, USA., d. Nov. 16, 1902, Excelsior, Hennipin, Mn. 2. Walter H(erbert) Van Norman b. aby. 1854, Ontario, marr: before 1883 and d. abt. 1884?. 3. Liilie Cook b. May 11, 1856, Hamilton, Ont., d. Jan. 14, 1927 in Corvallis, Or., USA. 4. Abner Everett Van Norman b. abt. 1817, Canada, marr: abt. 1852, d. July 29, 1882, Barton Twnshp, Wentworth Co., Ontario. 5. Elizabeth Bell b. 1823. d. 1902. 6. Issac Van Norman b. 1784 Lower Smithfield, North Hempton Co., Pa., USA, marr: at. 1805, d. Feb. 18, 1857, Nelson Twnshp, Ontario. 7. I am trying to contact relatives descended from Andrew Cameron. Andrew is my Grand Uncle, eldest brother of my grandmother Christina McCallum Gibson (nee Cameron). He was alive at 93 and met my parents in Toronto in 1956 along with other members of the family who lived there. This is the information I have on him and the others my parents met at that time.- Andrew Cameron was b. Sept. 25th, 1864 in Stonehouse Lanark. In the 1881 Census for 8 Janefield Place, Leith, Midlothian he was still living at home with his parents and his occupation is given as apprentice bricklayer. He is no longer with his family by 1891 when he would have been 26 so may have been married. He had a daughter called Lizzie while still in Edinborough, probably about 1900, as Lizzie seems to have been a contemporary of my father born 1900. Sometime after that he emigrated to Canada. My parents visited him in Toronto in 1956 and in her trip book my mother noted that he was then 93. She also mentioned that Lizzie now known as Mary and her husband Frank Smith were also there as well as: a Jim and Olive whom she did not identify, Lizzie's daughter Helen and 3 children, Sheila her younger daughter, Andrew her son with his son Andrew, Jane & Clive Cameron and their son Robert. If anyone out there knows of this family and can give me some recent details I would be so happy as none of my efforts thus far have met with any success. I believe that Lizzie and her husband retired to Florida but have no details. Please contact Robert Stewart.

COOPER, William: b. England, May 29th, 1852. William emigrated to Canada in the areas of Belleville and Peterborough. He marr. Elizabeth Barlow around that same time period and resided in Havelock, Ontario. There is no record of the marriage being registered. The names which I am attempting to follow up through this line are: Barlow, Cooper, Spry, Neal(e) and Rombough. I have a fair amount of info on the Spry line and can trace the Barlow's to the 1830's. The Rombough's go back to 1725, on the continent in Upper Rhone/Rhine area. Any info. would be greatly appreciated. Please contact Harry Rose.

Please help: For the past 20 years I have been searching for my grandmother. She lived and died in Ontario but her birth place is unknown. She was born Sept. 12th, 1880, her father was Joseph Dutrizac, however, I have one document that says he was married to Margurite Lalonde/Lalond and another that came from the Parish Priest at Almonte, Ontario that says her mother was Adelaide. Her father Joseph remarried in 1886 to Julia Ann Lalonde/Lalond. I do believe that she came from the area of Almonte/Carleton Place and that her father came from St. Eustach. If anybody has any info. whatsoever regarding this family please contact Colleen

HANEY, Elizabeth Jane, b. 1843 in Fenwick, Welland Co., Ontario; m. Apr. 27th, 1859 to Asham L. Henry of Saltfleet Township, age 22 s/o John & Martha. Elizabeth is listed in the County marr. reg. as the dau. of Rev. Leonard Haney and Elizabeth, however, she is living with a son of the Rev. Leonard in the census most of her life, so it is more likely that Rev. Leonard Haney and Elizabeth are the grandparents? Anyway I am still interested in any additional info.
