You do not have to live in Canada to post a query. Just send me an e-mail and I will post it a.s.a.p. Please be precise i.e. don't post a query that you are looking for Mr. Smith in such and such a City in the Maritimes. Supply as much information as you konw about the person and I will use my best judgment to condense it. *NOTE- Cape Breton Island is part of Nova Scotia.

Looking for info on Julia H. ELSEY, born abt. 1831 in Nova Scotia. She married Nelson BEAM of New Jersey and died in New York City on Mar. 1, 1899. Her father John was apparently born in England. Nothing is known about her mother. Please contact Harold Templeton.

Looking for info about Ernest A. COOK born abt. 1882 in Nova Scotia son of Harry COOK & Bertha STEWART. He had at least one brother Clarence. He marr: Margaret McLEAN. At some point he moved to P.E.I. I don't know if this was befoe or after his marriage. He had nine children most if not all were born in P.E.I. In 1924 he relocated to the states. He died Mar. 24, 1943 in Hyde Park, Mass. which is a suburb of Boston. Please contact Rae.

I am a descendant of the GLADNEY family from Co. Antrim, Ireland/SC/FL. My ggggfather was Thomas GLADNEY of Fairfield Co., South Carolina. I was recently told that it is suspected that one or two of his children may have gone to Nova Scotia, as GLADNEY's were found there. I would like to hear from any GLADNEY's in the Nova Scotia area or anybody tracing this same line. Please contact Carolyn Powell.

Evan SHAW, wife Mary and son Alexander left N.Y. 1784 with a group of loyalists who settled in Manchester, Nova Scotia. Would appreciate any info on this family prior to 1784. Please contact Joseph Kirby.

Looking for info. on the descendants of Thomas Worthen (Whathen) and Ann Laskey of Barrington. They had 9 children. Thomas was born in Gloucester, England and d. in Villagedale, Nova Scotia (date unknown). Ann died in Feb. 1827. He went to Nova Scotia from New York in the mid 1870's after fighting in the American Revolution. I have extensive info. on their youngest son Thomas Jr. who went to Guysborough Co. and had a large family. Please contact Heather Waddingham.

Looking for info. on Alfred Brown b. Feb. 13th, 1831 in Campobello, N.B., son of Col. James Burden Brown and Thankful Wilson. Alfred was married twice, 1. To Frances Bassett on May 3rd, 1857 in Campobello. They had a son William O. Brown b. abt. 1859 in Campobello. Second marriage was to Mary ______. They were married about 1862. Lokking for info. on the descendants of Jacob Sirles/Searles/Surles and his wife Elizabeth Ramsdell of Campobello. In 1851 Census the children were listed as William 13, Dorothy 11, Nathan 9, Charles 7, Ulda 3 and Elizabeth 2 mos. Jacob was 42 and Elizabeth 35, all were natives of Campobello, N.B. I have info. on William (m. Louisa Robinson) and Dorothy (m. Charles Henry Fletcher) would be happy to exchange. I am also looking for info. on Louisa Robinson b. Oct. 25th, 1843 in Lubec, Maine. Immigrated to Canada in 1859. She was married to William Searles/Sirles of Campobello Island. They were married in Eastport, Maine on Dec. 25th, 1859. They had 6 children Abagail b. abt. 1861, Clara b. Sept. 28th, 1863, Wheelock b. abt. 1864, John b. abt. 1866, Barbara b. abt. 1868 and Walter b. abt. 1879. Claara was my GGgrandmother. Who was Louisa's parents? Did she have any siblings. Does anyone know anything about her children. Lots of info. to share on Clara's descendants. Please contact Heather Waddingham.

Looking for descendants of Colonel James Burden Brown and his wife Thankful Wilson who were from Campobello, New Brunswick. James was b. abt. 1798 Susannah Borden and ______ Brown. He was a Justice of the Peace in the late 1870's and died at Campobello Feb. 1st, 1890. James and Thankful's children were Robert W., Oliver B., Alfred, John Calvin, Bartholomew, Victoria and Cordella. I am descended from Alfred and have info. to share. Feb. 23rd, 1896, Moncton, New Brunswick (my grandfather), James b. abt. 1903, Mary b. abt. 1905, Helen b. abt. 1907 and Francis b. abt. 1912. My Ontario family is Whelpley. Charles William was born in Ontario because his father Henry Gilbert was working there for awhile, then they returned to Grand Manan, N.B.
